Another little cutie

I love brand new families! This very loved little girl came in with her mommy and daddy this morning so we could get some family and three month pictures. Her parents were so terrific and understanding given the repair workers we had been expecting for EIGHT months to fix a leak in the arch right above my studio finally turned up this morning. We ended up shooting around fallen sheet rock and insulation, but Miss Millie was unfazed! In a few weeks time, she will be back for a Christmas themed session and oh the possibilities!

Gotta love the petti pics!
I went a little more fall with the pumpkins this time around, but it is definitely the babies that make it so dern cute!

Sneak Peek for the W Family

This lovely family came to see my this morning with their little one, Madison and she was just the sweetest little punkin! Most babies do not like to have their clothes changed repeatedly and she was no exception, but she got over it in the blink of an eye and was all smiles when the camera was on her. I love the story behind the dress she is wearing in the family picture, it is one that both mom and auntie wore when they were babies and Miss Madison wasn't going to be able to wear it much longer. It was so beautiful and well kept that you would think it was bought at a boutique last week not many years ago. Enjoy your preview, Melissa!

Sneak Peek for the M Family

What a good looking, well coordinated bunch this family was! This session was a 10th anniversary present for mom, the only chick in this coupe, and we had to reschedule our original session because of some interference from a very unfriendly hurricane named Ike. Though boys rarely enjoy having their pictures take, I think everyone obliged and did remarkably well. The weather was great, no too sunny with a nice cloud cover and not as hot as it could have been. However, once the mower started, we were all trying to out maneuver the swarms of mosquitoes it was kicking up along it's path. Every session has it's back story and the next time you are admiring someone's family portrait hanging on a wall or setting on a table, be sure to ask what chaos is hiding behind those smiles! In an event, I certainly hope Pam won't have to wait for her 15th anniversary for their next session!

Sneak Peek for the G Family

Oh my goodness, I could photograph these kids all day long. I doubt very seriously that they would let me, but I would for as long as possible. These kids not only have the most amazing blue eyes, but Miss Allison has better manners than some adults I have come across. Everyone was so good natured and put up with horrible mosquitoes and heat which was not expected at 10am. In fact poor Allison was bitten several times, but did she complain? Not once. Such a little trooper! I couldn't wait to come back and get their preview up asap! Hope you enjoy it, Juli!

Sneak Peek for Diane

This was a last minute session that I did yesterday because dad and son just happened to be in town on the same day which is rare for this family. The little one was just as sweet as she could be and once again, I "employed" M to hold her toy above my lens to keep her attention. Enjoy your preview, Diane!

The Sander Women

Well, Scott, I lied. I was not out of town this week. The fact is that the women in your life pulled a fast one but for a very good cause! HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY!!! Clearly your wife knew exactly what you would want as a gift and arranged it with me right along with Kinsey's senior pictures. So they weren't completely dishonest when they told you that they met Monday evening to get your gift, here it is! I hope you had a terrific day and enjoyed your time with your girls. Surprise!

Sneak Peek for Karri

A little late on this sneak peek, it was shot Saturday afternoon but I am only now finding the time to post about it. The session was a gift from this lovely lady's sister, isn't that just the nicest thing? I have to say this little guy was so serious, but he was all smiles for his mommy and daddy. Watching him explore the grass just melted my heart! So incredibly sweet at this age, it makes me not want to give them back! Enjoy your preview!

Sneak Peek for the "P" Family

Oh my goodness does this little one make me work for it. The last time I shot their family, I had L with me as a little helper. Unfortunately, this time she was swimming in a swim meet and informed me that I was on my own. Left to my own devices, I balanced my oldest daughter's turtle on my head to make her smile which mercifully worked even it was a little on the yucky side. I have to admit it is so worth it, she is such a little sweetheart that I would do whatever it takes to coax that smile out of her!

Sneak Peek for Lynn

So what happened to that rain today, huh? Thank goodness the weather man was wrong because there was NO WAY I was rescheduling this one. We have had this one on my schedule for weeks and weeks. Between us, this was the only day we had! Mom asked me what to wear and then followed my advice to the letter! Fabulous! Obedient clients are my favorite! We tried out a new location tonight and it has great potential. Enjoy your preview, Lynn!
