Baby Annette is 9 months old

One of my favorite little ones was in this weekend but given all the erratic weather lately was suffering with the crud that is going around. We managed to get a couple good ones after we pulled out every weapon in my arsenal but she is worth it. Just look at her, you can see why I adore her so much! Sorry your preview is late, John and Emily, I have had my share of sick kiddos too. :-(

Back in business...

Here we are in 2009 and I am back from my "vacation" though as you can see below, I didn't exactly take the entire three weeks off. One of the best and worst things about taking time off is getting back to work! I am sure you all can imagine what my e-mail inbox looks's CRAZY! I am doing my best to catch-up but it may take a few days so please be patient with me! Also on my plate this month is revamping the main website and new pricing structure along with organizing the shopping cart feature. My head is spinning just thinking about it all! I hope to have at least the site live by mid-February so in the meantime, please enjoy perusing the blog and contact me directly for pricing info!

It is wonderful to be back and I can't wait to see what '09 has in store for me!

Ringing in the New Year

This year, me and the hubby spent New Year's Eve shooting a wedding for a terrific couple in Magnolia at The Cowboy Church. This family is so awesome, I can't even tell you. For the first set of engagements, Janet, the bride's mom, invited my kids out to swim at their house and made dinner for us all while I was out with her daughter and future son-in-law. AND, as a thank-you for agreeing to shoot this wedding on the holiday, they got us a fabulous room for the night (see personal blog for those pics). I had a wonderful time and would do it all over again. I know Janet & Amy have been waiting sooo patiently for this preview, so enjoy ladies!
Isn't this a rockin chandelier? If you're gonna call yourself The Cowboy Church, you'd better be ready to back it up!
So I personally ADORE this shot.
Another favorite...
All the girls had matching (if not painful) black & white polka dot cute!
These candlelit mason jars lit the path from the main road up to the church.
Amy's mom spent forever on these chocolate "W"s for the reception, but what a terrific idea. I didn't get to eat mine and then forgot it, but Janet says she's got a few extra...yay!
All set for a par-tay!
The cake was lovely, but I really liked the topper myself....
First dance, the way they look at each other is so sweet!
Daddy's girl...
Who knew Zac was such a great singer? He sang Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" during the reception. I now can add this talent to my list of reasons why I like him!
I almost got a waitress in big trouble for this shot minutes before midnight...
Zac designed this ring for Amy himself...
Happy New Year!!
Waiting for them in their suite...
Awe...Mom and FallYn put in some serious effort and I know that Zac & Amy know how loved they are.
Of course Mom & Dad are now completely broke, but what a great party...hahahahaha!

Sneak Peek for the K family

I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely family during my time off and though I was bummed that we weren't able to go outdoors for a more relaxed session, I really enjoyed them in studio too! Such friendly and good natured people with a love for animals too as two of mine decided to make themselves known! Thanks for being such good sports, K family and enjoy your preview!
Adopted Grandma, Pat came along and what a delightful person she was to sit and chat with.
These two will be married this June in Utah and I am so excited to be doing their "Kris-style" engagements in April! We were supposed to do them immediately following the family session, but the weather was simply not cooperating. That's ok, this gave us a chance to meet and now something to look forward too! :-)
Are they adorable or what?
